Park Introduction
The venue of the 26th World University Summer Games looks like a "spring cocoon". The project includes a stadium, gymnasium, swimming pool, athlete reception service center, sports theme park and commercial operation facilities. Among them, the main stadium with 20,000 fixed seats planned to be built will be used for the competition and training of the Universiade football preliminaries; the main gymnasium with a capacity of 13,000 spectators will become the main venue for the Universiade table tennis competition; and the swimming pool will also be used for training for swimming competitions. After the Shenzhen Universiade, the center will be open to the general public and become a core venue for national fitness, an important venue for major domestic and international sports events, and a venue for celebrity concerts. Shenzhen Bay Sports Center has successively hosted the 2012 BWF Super Series Finals, the 2019 WTA Finals, the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Shenzhen Division, the 2017-2019 King of Glory Professional League Spring and Autumn Tournaments, the 2019-2020 King of Glory Champions Cup, and eight consecutive "Shenzhen Nanshan Half Marathon". In addition to large-scale sporting events, it also hosts more than 100 mass sports events and charity events every year, making it the preferred venue for important domestic and international events.
