Park Introduction
Futian Seaside Ecological Sports Park is located on the southeast side of the intersection of Baishi Road and Hongshulin Road, on the north side of Binhai Avenue, and on top of the Shenzhen Water Group Futian Water Purification Plant. It is adjacent to Futian Bus Station in the north and the Mangrove Bird Nature Reserve in the south. It will connect the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Leisure Belt, Garden Expo Park, and Tanglang Mountain, becoming a green ecological corridor in the western part of Futian District. The total land area of the park is 76,000 square meters, including 31,200 square meters of sports facilities, 17,900 square meters of green land, 23,000 square meters of hard ground and garden roads, and 4,811 square meters of building area in the park; the number of sports fields: 2 standard 11-person football fields, 4 standard 8-person football fields, and 2 standard 5-person football fields. Futian Seaside Ecological Sports Park is the first football-themed sports ecological park in China built on top of a water purification plant. A new model for intensive utilization of idle urban space - the Futian District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau has innovated a new spatial model for the sports complex. The"indoor water plant and rooftop park" will help Shenzhen's comprehensive reform to improve the quality and efficiency of space and create a new name card for Shenzhen's pilot demonstration area.
