Park Introduction
Shenzhen Yuanke Park is located in the triangle where Dongmen North Road and Aiguo Road intersect in Luohu District, Shenzhen, covering an area of about 2.5 hectares. The park was originally the arboretum of Shenzhen Institute of Landscape Architecture and is the earliest tree specimen garden built in the city. In April 2007, in order to meet the fitness and leisure needs of nearby community residents, the tree specimen garden was renamed Yuanke Park, included in the Shenzhen Park Catalogue, and officially opened to the public. The park is lush with trees, with elegant scenery and pleasant environment. There are a total of 131 species of plants in 108 genera and 61 families, including rich woody plant communities and the largest Nanyang jacaranda plant in the urban area; there are green bean trees with old stems that bloom; there are precious tree species such as bamboo cypress, avocado, benzoin, burnt wood, Hainan tianliao wood, Dong palm and Tokyo oil nanmu; there are Chinese worry trees, crape myrtles and fish trees with long flowering periods and luxuriant flowers and leaves; there are also pandanus trees and fishtail palms with special shapes, etc., which have become a very precious tree gene bank in Shenzhen Park and an excellent place for nearby middle and primary school students to carry out"plant science education and ecological education".
